Literature Review
In this literature review, I explore drug repurposing as an evolving strategy in drug development and examined the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). I compare traditional, observation-based approaches to newer data-driven methods enabled by machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. I evaluate the key advantages of AI, as well as the major technical, regulatory, and ethical challenges limiting its broader adoption. I also review emerging strategies, including improved data integration, model interpretability, and collaborative frameworks, that aim to make AI-driven drug repurposing more scalable, reliable, and clinically impactful.
Patented Biotechnology Presentation
In this presentation, I examined a patented modular synthetic receptor technology that leverages the Notch signaling cleavage mechanism to convert extracellular ligand binding into programmable intracellular responses. I discussed the structural design of the receptor and evaluated how this platform enables customizable signal detection and downstream responses. I also evaluated its applications in engineered cell therapies, diagnostics, and targeted drug delivery, highlighting its potential to advance precision medicine.
